It’s a new month, and we’d love to share a new musical mix from Julz Suede. This mix is full of joyous tracks that are perfect for starting the month off right. Whether you’re looking for something to dance to or just something to put a smile on your face, this mix has it all. “The mix project is the sounds that define the clothing brand P.O.M.E. with the aim of providing engagement and attracting like-minded audiences to the brand. The project offers diverse genres, from amapiano, deep house, electro house, hip hop, trap, and trip-hop”. This latest project which I call Sounds of The Environment merges my clothing brand P.O.M.E. and creates a sound for a brand, which gives the brand exposure to more markets, says Julz.

As a youngin, my older brother used to bring in copied CDs of house compilations, and blast them whenever he got the chance. The love of house music started there, where I saved up my lunch money to buy Soul Candi and House Afrika compilations. That spilt into DJíng, using every opportunity to play for my immediate friends. Since then, my music taste has diversified which consequently changed my DJ style, providing short format mixes and playing for niche crowds in and around Johannesburg.
