Following the releases of two singles, “Pelo” with Maglera Doe Boy and “Collapse All Rules,” Espacio Dios is set to drop the first instalment of his Cradle Of The Fourthkind project, The First Kind on the 17th of March with a focus track “Le Nna.” The First Kind is the first of four EPs to be released throughout the year.
The Cradle of the Fourthkind project describes the different stages of falling in love, where each EP is a chapter of a love story. From young love to old love, there is a process of negotiating, learning and trust. This journey is the core theme of the project, a conceptual body of work that ties all four EPs together.
Notoriously private, Espacio Dios has been crafting this personal project for the last two years. In reference to the new direction, he says: “I was going for a mellow, more minimalistic feel with this album. This record is not as heavily drum influenced as my previous work. This is my take on what African R&B is, infused with my Motswako influences, traditional and electronic music.”
Now under new management, Espacio Dios’ is The First Kind was produced, written, and mixed by Espacio Dios and mastered by Shane the Cutter.
