The much awaited single “Impilo” by up-and-coming South African DJ, singer, and songwriter Andy M dropped available. The song serves as both a preview and introduction to his forthcoming album. With “Impilo,” Andy M sends a message to his core fan base that he is back, that he is one of South Africa’s most talented stars, and that he is prepared to take the stage with his upcoming project while delivering new music to his fanbase and gaining new fans from both the general public and the music industry.

The inspiration for “Impilo” came from life in general. Sometimes, despite our best efforts, things do not always turn out as we need or want them to. “Impilo is a beautiful song that will pick you up from any type of feeling you’re in. It’s a vibe song!” shares Andy M.

Andy M’s love for music started in primary school. He went to Polokong Primary School, where he was part of the school choir; he used to enter school competitions, and he helped the school win competitions. That was when he realized his love for music. When he moved to KZN, his dream of becoming a musician was affected, as there were no music activities in the school that he went to. After matric, he moved to Johannesburg to chase the dream of becoming a musician.

He never stopped recording and writing music. Now he feels ready to chase his childhood dream of becoming a successful musician. He continues to spread his wings and took up a deejaying opportunity at Mhlobo Wenene FM every Tuesday on Masigoduke with Amaza Ntshang and Zizo Beda since 2022.
