With a longstanding commitment to nurturing exceptional talent in the entertainment industry, MultiChoice continues its dedication through the MTFza, aimed at equipping budding industry professionals with the requisite skills and knowledge to navigate the dynamic landscape of film and television.

Celebrating its tenth year, the MTFza’s comprehensive 12-month industry readiness program offers a unique opportunity for participants to learn from esteemed industry experts in scripting, directing, producing, cinematography, commissioning, editing, and more. This hands-on experience is designed to unleash the creativity of gifted individuals, providing them with a platform to showcase their potential on a global stage. Applications are now open, starting from January 17, 2024, and are welcome from individuals passionate about filmmaking and armed with compelling stories to tell.

The MTFza program encompasses three pillars:

  1. MTF South Africa Academy: A one-year internship academy for university and film graduates from qualifying institutions who meet the academic criteria.
  2. MTF South Africa Scriptwriting Incubator: A one-year program catering to aspiring scriptwriters, not limited to university graduates.
  3. MTF South Africa Bursary Programme: A full one-year tuition for second-year or higher university students from qualifying institutions who meet both academic and financial need criteria.
