Rocking the Daisies 2024 has reached its halfway point, and festivalgoers have been treated to an extraordinary experience. With this year’s theme, ‘In the Stars,’ attendees have enjoyed two unforgettable nights under the African sky, immersed in the magic of music and electrifying performances.
The festival has been heating up in more ways than one, as Saturday saw temperatures soar to a sizzling 36 degrees. Across three stages, both international and local artists have kept the energy high, with crowds dancing well into the night.
So far, festival highlights include an emotive performance by Swedish singer-songwriter Snoh Aalegra and a crowd-hyping set by Nigerian superstar Ayra Starr. South African talent has also shone brightly, with performances from Sun El Musician, Mi Casa, Kash CPT, Zee Nxumalo, Nasty C, Shekhinah, and others, leaving fans roaring for more.
The excitement is far from over, as the second half of the weekend promises even more. BLK Odyssy will bring his unique blend of funk, soul, and rock, while American R&B sensation 6lack is set to deliver a show-stopping performance. Smino, known for his neo-soul rap style, is also slated to bring his signature vibe to the stage.
Festivalgoers can look forward to more local talent, daytime activities at the Flying Fish Beach Club, and the chance to win prizes in Daisy Town. Sports enthusiasts can also enjoy shooting hoops and scoring goals at the SuperSportBet Sports Centre. A special highlight will be the ROCKING THE DAISIES x GALXBOY fashion show at 6 pm in Daisy Town, showcasing an exclusive merchandise collaboration with the iconic South African designer.
