This November, South Africa’s highly anticipated dinner event, Stella Artois’ Let’s Do Dinner, returns with award-winning actress and humanitarian Nomzamo Mbatha at the helm, joined this time by actor, entrepreneur, and founder of Bakoena Brands, Thapelo Mokoena. Taking place on November 12th in Johannesburg, the event will bring together a stellar guest list comprising some of South Africa’s most inspiring personalities, promising an unforgettable evening centered around connection and celebration.

The theme, based on the timeless question, “If you could invite anyone to dinner, who would it be?” guides the event’s unique gathering of actors, authors, musicians, artists, and business icons, all united for an evening that highlights the beauty of sharing a meal. Following the success of last year’s event, which featured prominent guests like Zozibini Tunzi, Lasizwe, and Mihlali Ndamase, Let’s Do Dinner is set to celebrate yet again the bonds and unforgettable conversations that happen when people come together over food.
Reflecting on the event, Nomzamo Mbatha shared her excitement about reprising her hosting role. “I’m so looking forward to hosting SA’s most fascinating dinner again after the success of last year’s inaugural event,” she said. “There’s something so powerful about taking time out to share a meal – nothing is worth more than human connection and the meaningful moments that come from coming together around a table.” Mbatha has already had a remarkable year, with accolades including Forbes Woman Africa’s Entertainer of the Year Award and the Best African Actress award at the Septimius Awards in Amsterdam, as well as her role as a co-presenter at the Global Citizen Festival in New York.
Co-hosting with Nomzama, Thapelo Mokoena brings his own enthusiasm for the event’s message of connection. “It’s such an honour to be co-hosting Let’s Do Dinner with Nomzamo,” he expressed. “I truly resonate with what this event represents – bringing people together through the shared experience of a great meal. There’s something profound about how food and meaningful conversation create lasting connections; it doesn’t get any better than that.”
Guests at Let’s Do Dinner can expect an elevated dining experience, featuring exceptional meals curated by renowned chefs, with immersive entertainment from some of South Africa’s leading talents. Estee Burger, Stella Artois Marketing Manager, explained the event’s essence, saying, “Let’s Do Dinner Johannesburg promises to once again be one of the most unique social gatherings of the year, imbued with that quintessential South African touch. Let’s Do Dinner celebrates the simple act of gathering around a table, enjoying good food and drink, and engaging in meaningful conversations. And that is something worth more.”
With a lineup that honors South Africa’s diversity and creativity, this year’s Let’s Do Dinner is sure to be another memorable affair.
