What does being the first Jägermeister Global Pass recipient mean to you personally and professionally?
KMAT: It is an honor honestly, there could have been so many other candidates that brand could have taken and I feel honored.
What impact do you think the Global Pass initiative will have on the South African creative scene?
KMAT: I love how immersed Jager is with the culture and as a result of that, I am absolutely certain that future candidates will be great exports and flagbearers of SA music.
How are you preparing for your upcoming performance and talk at IMS Ibiza 2025?
KMAT: Isolation and listening to what echo’s loudest to me because I really play with my heart.
What will you be highlighting about South Africa with the global music industry through your participation?
KMAT: How dynamic our music is, there is more than genre in SA and not only are there many other genres but great music.
After Ibiza, what’s next for KMAT? Any exciting projects or collaborations lined up?
KMAT: I have an amazing EP coming out on the 1st of May 2025. It’s titled YEHYEH.
