Ultra South Africa ne le shapo as a first time goer. Good music and discovery, good vibes (interesting to see so many diverse age groups in one space), and some really good performances. Out of all the stages, I enjoyed the Groove Stage the most – akere I’m a House, Gqom and Amapiano ghel at heart. DJ Lag’s set was a definite highlight, with that signature gqom energy keeping the crowd locked in. I just wish Omagoqa had been playing around the same time (their performance was also so great but they were on too early)— that would’ve been next level mara I’m happy they did cameo’s during Lag’s performance. All in all, a fun day with some memorable acts. Here are my highlights in a vologo.
