After winning the cup last season, Kaizer Chiefs and sponsor Kappa have revealed new African-inspired home and away kits for the 2025/26 season, marking the third year of their partnership. These new strips merge football with culture, celebrating the game beyond the pitch with designs rooted in African art and community.
The home jersey is a classic gold with black patterns on the sleeves and a stylish black collar, reflecting the Glamour Boys’ traditional colors and culture. The away kit introduces a striking grey and gold design with subtle camouflage patterns, inspired by the textures of animal skins used for traditional African warrior shields, symbolizing Amakhosi’s battle-readiness.
“It promises to be a great season ahead with the Club celebrating our 55th anniversary by winning a major trophy and qualifying for CAF competition, which were some of the goals we had set for ourselves when the year started,” says Kaizer Chiefs Marketing and Commercial Director, Jessica Motaung. “With this in mind, we returned to our roots with the home jersey, staying true to the colours we are known for.”

Motaung adds, “The away jersey always allows us to play around a bit and we are proud of the camouflage-like design that represents the shields and the garments worn by Africans during traditional events. It’s symbol of fashion, art and creativity that will be worn by hardcore football fans as well as general fashion enthusiasts.” She expects an even better response this year, emphasizing, “As we say, the jersey doesn’t just play, it represents.”
Both jerseys are made from recyclable material. Ricky Joseph, Director at Kappa South Africa, states, “The new kits we have designed as Kappa and Kaizer Chiefs give us cause for great optimism ahead of the new campaign. With the theme for this season being ‘The jersey doesn’t just play, it represents’, we look forward to seeing the supporters filling the stands, home and away, proudly displaying their brand new 2025/26 Kaizer Chiefs kit and merchandise for all the world to admire.”

Merchandise is available from July 21, 2025, at Kaizer Chiefs Retail, Kappa stores, online at www.kcdigistore.com, and other leading sporting retailers. Joseph confirms the jersey price remains the same as last season despite economic times.
The new kits will debut on Saturday, July 26, when Kaizer Chiefs plays Asante Kotoko in the Toyota Cup at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
