Following the success of her previous hit, Coco Brown brings together an all-star lineup of South African hip hop talent. The track features electrifying verses from Touchline, Maggz, Sizwe Alakine, and Sani Music, layered over a smooth, melodic beat by acclaimed producer Tony World Wide.

While her last single, Switchin’ (ft. Nomfundo Yekani & Ferlando Young), carried a high-energy sound, Pride For Youshifts gears. This Afrobeat-infused hip hop ballad explores love’s tender yet turbulent side, telling the story of two people deeply connected but unable to see eye-to-eye—a universal tale of heartache and pride.
“This song is for anyone who’s ever loved someone but couldn’t make it work,” says Coco Brown. “It’s about that painful space between holding on and letting go, and pride once again coming in between. I wanted to create something catchy, nostalgic, and melodic that still hits you right in the heart. Working with such incredible artists allowed us to tell this story from different perspectives, and Tony World Wide’s production captured the exact feeling I envisioned.”
