A Legacy of Creativity and Celebration
Moozlie, who was a standout feature at the inaugural 2025 Mahindra Fusion Fest, has since deepened her partnership with Mahindra as an ambassador across several of the brand’s initiatives. Her involvement marks the continuation of Fusion Fest’s commitment to amplifying young creative voices in South Africa.
The first Fusion Fest in 2025 brought together emerging talents—including fashion designers, sculptors, and musicians—alongside some of South Africa’s most celebrated acts like Cassper Nyovest, K.O., Matthew Mole, Mi Casa, Kamo Mphela, and Aymos. Over 7,000 fans were in attendance to witness this dynamic cultural blend.
2026: Bigger, Bolder, and Nationwide
Speaking at the Festival of Motoring, Rajesh Gupta, CEO of Mahindra South Africa, reflected on the festival’s purpose and growth:
“The Mahindra Fusion Fest was conceptualised to celebrate South Africa’s youthful energy where its many different peoples and cultures have created a unique, and dare we say unmatched, creative scene… Fusion Fest 2026 will be bigger, and we should also have built up roadshows in Durban and Cape Town.”
This vision will be realized through regional Fusion Fest roadshows later this year in Durban and Cape Town, which will serve both as fan experiences and talent scouting events. Selected performers from these satellite events will be invited to showcase their work on the main stage in March 2026.
A Platform for Innovation and Expression
Beyond entertainment, Fusion Fest has also become a stage for design and innovation. At the 2025 event, Mahindra debuted the XUV 3XO Thula Sindi Edition, a custom-designed SUV created in collaboration with the fashion icon Thula Sindi. This bespoke model, revealed again at the Festival of Motoring, was a crowd favourite and is available to order via Mahindra’s national dealer network of nearly 100 outlets.
Rajesh Gupta added:
“Since our show in February, Mahindra has set a new growth trajectory… We see our growth as confirmation that South Africa has truly made the Mahindra brand part of its landscape, and we look forward to growing further, with Mzansi as our home outside India.”
