Gallery MOMO has officially welcomed multidisciplinary artist Blessing Ntsikelelo Blaai to its roster, marking a significant moment in the artist’s evolving journey. Working across painting, ink, watercolour, and mixed media, Blaai explores themes of memory, identity, and place through a layered, experimental approach.
His work extends beyond the studio, he’s a celebrated muralist with both private and public commissions that reimagine urban spaces as platforms for cultural expression.
Blaai’s work has featured in major exhibitions like African Mobilities: This is Not a Refugee Camp and is grounded in community impact. Through The Market Foundation, he led arts education at Windybrow Theatre, empowering inner-city youth through creativity.
His new chapter with Gallery MOMO signals a continued commitment to meaningful, socially engaged art.
