CBC marks AfroFuture’s evolution from its flagship Ghana festival into a series of intimate, genre-defining live experiences across the continent. According to AfroFuture’s CEO, Abdul Karim Abdullah, launching in Johannesburg was intentional, a nod to South Africa’s position as “a heartbeat of global music and creativity.”

For Asake, the performance is a milestone. Known for his fusion of Afrobeats, street pop, and fuji influences, the Nigerian star has rapidly risen to global fame, breaking streaming records with his celebrated albums Mr Money with the Vibe, Work of Art, and Lungu Boy. His South African debut promises a deeply immersive blend of Afrobeats energy, Amapiano rhythm, and striking visual storytelling, a signature CBC approach designed to connect culture, community, and sound.
