Producers Cyfred and Sayfar released Nomoro Docket, a powerful double-disc Amapiano album. Disc 1 offers vocal-led cuts with mainstream appeal, while Disc 2 provides a stripped-down, instrumental exploration—a first for the genre. Cyfred stated: “This album is a love letter to where we come from.” Sayfar added: “Amapiano has always lived between two worlds, the raw and the refined.”

Amapiano producer Tycoon released his dynamic new project, Tyza Wav Vol. II, cementing his place at the genre’s forefront. The album expands on Amapiano’s rhythms, featuring soulful moods, deep basslines, and collaborations with artists like Kelvin Momo. Tycoon explained: “I want every track to be a celebration, a movement, and a moment that stays with the listener.”

UK Afrobeats Trailblazer Unveils Heartfelt Afrofusion Track ‘Dey 4 You’
British Nigerian artist SONA released his new single, ‘DEY 4 YOU,’ following a headline performance at Diaspora Sounds. Produced by Origi and Tboiii, the track is a captivating afrofusion offering balancing feeling with movement. Sona stated, “It’s about standing by the people you love through everything.” The song, rooted in South London, blends Afrobeats, Afroswing, and R&B, teasing an upcoming 2026 project.

Early Wildlife Drawings By William Kentridge Sold For Millions
Strauss & Co achieved a “White Glove” sale, realising R8,391,428, for 15 wildlife drawings by William Kentridge. Commissioned in 1985 for Engen, the suite drew fierce competitive bidding globally. Grey Crowned Crane realised R901,095. Dr Alastair Meredith commented, “This remarkable result underscores the enduring power and relevance of Kentridge’s early practice.” The total exceeded pre-sale expectations.
JURY REVEALED FOR SONY AWARDS 2026
Top Industry Experts To Judge Short Filmmaker Competition
The Sony Future Filmmaker Awards announced its 2026 jury, including Will Gluck and Rachel O’Connor, returning to Sony Pictures Studios June 8–11. The free-to-enter Awards spotlight emerging talent. Jury Chair Justin Chadwick noted they seek “films that challenge conventions.” Shortlisted creators attend masterclasses and compete across five categories for prizes. South Africa’s GWM Holds Major Customer Festival Event
GWM South Africa announced its first FAM FEST on Saturday, November 29, 2025, marking its 18th anniversary.
