Bridgerton Season 4 Launches in Cape Town
Bridgerton Season 4 was officially launched in Africa with a premiere event in Cape Town as part of Netflix’s global promotional tour. Held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, the event took place at Zeitz MOCAA, which was reimagined as a live-action interpretation of the series’ Regency-era world.
The evening followed an “AfroCouture Masquerade” theme, inviting guests to reinterpret Regency glamour through African fashion codes. The red carpet featured a mix of modern traditional wear, sculptural silhouettes, and bold textures. A live orchestra performed orchestral arrangements inspired by South African songs, echoing the show’s signature use of classical covers.
South African actress Masali Baduza, who joins the franchise as Michaela Stirling in Season 4, was a central figure at the event alongside cast members Martins Imhangbe and Emma Naomi. Media personality Bonang Matheba hosted the evening, which also drew appearances from Zozibini Tunzi, Khanyi Mbau, Dineo and Solo Langa, Blue Mbombo, and Jo-Ann Strauss. The premiere marked the start of the show’s Season 4 rollout, which will be released on Netflix in two parts on January 29 and February 26, 2026.
