The first single of the highly anticipated Durex EP, ForPlay, titled ‘FOREVER,’ took center stage at an exclusive launch event held at The Venue in Morningside. Blxckie, an extraordinary rapper, songwriter, and record producer, mesmerized the captivated audience with his unparalleled talent and scintillating performance of ‘FOREVER.’ This marked the beginning of a musical journey that merges pleasure, expression, and acceptance.
Blxckie, a star in the music industry, has gained global recognition for his unique style and infectious energy, captivating the hearts of fans worldwide. Joining Blxckie in the creation of the ForPlay EP was a constellation of gifted artists, each contributing their artistry to this extraordinary musical endeavor. Among them were South African jazz singer-songwriter Nanette, trap, alternative, and R&B producer, songwriter, and DJ Yolophonik, and many others. The ForPlay EP features an array of talented artists, including South African DJ, singer, songwriter, and record producer Muzi; singer-songwriter, rapper, and fashion designer Money Badoo; South African-American singer-songwriter and “Hennessy” hitmaker Tshego; singer-songwriter Gemma Fassie; rapper, songwriter, and record producer DJ Mx Blouse; award-nominated singer-songwriter Thando Nje; independent producer, singer, and rapper Una Rams; South African music producer, songwriter, and DJ Musa Keys; and rapper and singer Ricky Tyler.
The inspiration behind the creation of the EP stems from Durex’s mission to merge the worlds of music and sexual liberation, encouraging individuals to embrace their authentic sexual selves. “We are delighted to share with South Africa the magical debut single of our perfectly curated EP – ForPlay.
