Rakgadi Maletsatsi’s latest playlist “Mahayeng Borwa” draws inspiration from the graphic designs of traditional music genres like Mbilamutondo, Maskandi, and Famo. The playlist was curated to celebrate some of the beautiful languages that are proudly South African and was officially released on International Mother Language Day (21 February). Rakgadi Maletsatsi went beyond the curiosity of the possible visual narratives behind these music genres and created a playlist that pays homage to the rich cultural heritage of South Africa.
