In an era where events come and go like fleeting memories, some merge into the collective consciousness, becoming synonymous with luxury, style, and unforgettable experiences. Among these, the Magic Day Club stands tall, a beacon of curated entertainment that has captured the hearts of party enthusiasts nationwide. As it celebrates its sixth anniversary, the Magic Day Club, in collaboration with TRACE Urban, Savanna, Schweppes, The Lakes Hotel & Conference Centre, and Cielo Restaurant and Beach Bar, is proud to announce its most ambitious endeavour yet: The MDC Weekender.

Set to take place over the upcoming Easter weekend, The MDC Weekender promises attendees the ultimate adult sleepover, a three-day extravaganza filled with music, games, brand engagements, and, above all, great vibes. Renowned for its ability to curate an eclectic mix of leading live performers, DJs, and tastemakers, the Magic Day Club ensures that each event is a unique celebration of artistry and camaraderie.

Founder Kutloano ‘Da Kruk’ Nhlapo shares his vision for the Weekender, stating, “After three years in the making, Magic Day Club Weekender is ready to further push the needle of curated and experiential entertainment while gentrifying Ekurhuleni one event at a time.” This sentiment encapsulates the essence of the Weekender – a celebration not only of music and revelry but also of community and connection.

For those seeking to immerse themselves fully in the Magic Day Club experience, a range of ticket packages are available, catering to both day visitors and weekend sleepers. From Friday, March 29th to Sunday, March 31st, the Cielo/The Lakes Hotel in Benoni, Johannesburg, will transform into a haven of entertainment, with gates opening at 10 AM and closing at midnight each day. Day visitors can choose from a variety of ticket options, including single-day passes or a three-day package for those committed to experiencing every moment of the festivities. Meanwhile, weekend sleepers have the opportunity to indulge in a truly immersive experience, with accommodation options ranging from cozy crew sleepers to luxurious suite sleepers complete with kitchenettes and lounges.

The Weekender itinerary is as diverse as it is enticing, featuring a blend of relaxation, entertainment, and cultural enrichment. Highlights include morning mimosas by the pool, a picture-perfect pyjama party hosted by Abel Phogole, yoga classes with Thando Grace, and the iconic Magic Day Club music festival. Additionally, Sunday offers a unique twist with a Thugsgiving picnic hosted by Mamthug, adding a touch of local flavor to the festivities.
