Mzansi Magic proudly announced the launch of “Sounds of Khelovedu,” a social media campaign celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Queen Modjadji and the Valovedu people. This initiative comes ahead of the highly anticipated drama series, Queen Modjadji, set to air in July 2024 on Mzansi Magic, channel 161. “Sounds of Khelovedu” is a unique platform that invited viewers to engage with and generate buzz around the Queen Modjadji drama series. The campaign encourages content creation by providing iconic scene snippets from the series for viewers to create lip-syncing videos on TikTok.
This initiative goes beyond entertainment; it seeks to balance fun with education by offering viewers a chance to learn about the rich history, language, and culture of the Valovedu community. The campaign highlights the importance of cultural heritage and fosters a deeper connection between audiences and the story of Queen Modjadji. Prominent figures such as Lucy van Schalkwyk, Thato Malebati, Gogo & Mo, and Keletjo Phoshoko have already embraced the intriguing story of the Rain Queen, inspiring their followers to learn the beautiful Khelovedu language. Mzansi Magic encourages all Africans to participate and familiarize themselves with Khelovedu before the series premiere.
