South Africa’s biggest acts are set to headline the inaugural Saso’s Brunch Marquee, taking place this Saturday, July 6th, at the Greyville Racecourse. Hosted by hip-hop artist Lusaso ‘Saso’ Ngcobo and perfectly situated at the winning post, Saso will be making history as the youngest black male to host his own marquee. Known for his magnetic presence on and off stage, Saso is a well-known figure in South Africa’s entertainment industry. As a member of the group DreamTeam, he has captivated audiences with his talent and charm, rising to fame with the group’s single “Tsekede” in 2013. The event will feature performances from Oscar Mbo, Major League DJz, Sjava, Blxckie, Dbn Gogo, PH, Sphectacular & DJ Naves, Kweyama Brothers, DJ LeSoul, and other local talents.
A Blend of Diverse Musical Styles
Saso’s vision is to bring together exceptional talent to cater to a diverse and youthful audience. The lineup promises a mix of DJ sets ranging from Amapiano to Afrotech, and live performances spanning Afropop to Hip-Hop. Discussing the lineup, Saso shares, “The most important element to any event is the music lineup. The team and I worked hard to secure the biggest acts who we knew would set the stage alight. It was important for us to listen to our people and give them exactly what they’ve asked for.”
