Black Coffee Foundation’s Festive Campaign Addresses Food Insecurity Across Communities
The Black Coffee Foundation has concluded its Feed the Family, Share the Joy campaign, a nationwide Christmas initiative aimed at supporting underprivileged families across South Africa during the 2025 festive season. The campaign focused on food security, dignity, and community care through coordinated distribution efforts.
Supported by public contributions, national and international donors, and community partnerships, the Foundation distributed thousands of food parcels across multiple provinces. These efforts reached both rural and urban communities, ensuring families had access to essential groceries during the holiday period.
Food parcels were delivered to families in areas including Ngangelizwe Township, Median Farm, Waterfall, Qweqwe, eTipini, Silverton, Zimbane Valley, Ngcobo, Bizana, and Soweto. Each parcel was assembled to provide basic necessities and support shared meals during Christmas.
The Foundation’s festive outreach continues on 24 December, with additional food parcel distributions planned in Limpopo. Reflecting on the campaign, CEO Lungie Maphumulo stated, “Feed the Family, Share the Joy is about restoring hope and happiness where it is needed most… The success of this campaign is a testament to what can be achieved when communities come together with compassion and purpose.”
On 25 December, Zor will host a Christmas Day lunch for ten disadvantaged families, with the Foundation providing food parcels to support them beyond the day itself. The campaign reinforces the Foundation’s broader commitment to addressing food insecurity throughout the year.
