AmaGroove returns to South Africa in March 2026 for a week-long co-writing, collaboration and creative exchange hosted at NIROX’s Kromdraai Impact & Co-Creativity Hub. The residency will bring together fourteen artists from South Africa and Denmark in a focused, supportive environment centred on listening, care and shared creative growth.
Designed to prioritise meaningful collaboration over output pressure, the programme creates space for artists to connect deeply, exchange perspectives and build lasting creative relationships across cultures.
The 2026 residency will be guided by curators Msaki, Muneyi and Mishy. Msaki leads with a practice rooted in integrity, courage and community, shaping transformative creative spaces. Muneyi, an artist and facilitator grounded in his Tshivenda heritage, centres emotional safety, cultural exchange and intentional collaboration. Cape Town–based singer-songwriter Mishy steps into her curator role after describing her own AmaGroove experience as life-changing, bringing a strong commitment to curiosity, listening and collective growth.
For artists seeking a residency where collaboration comes first, where ideas meet new perspectives, and where both the music and the people behind it are held with care, AmaGroove offers a rare opportunity.

Applications close at midnight on 6 January 2026. Apply on https://www.onegroove.world/amagroove-residency-opencall/
