Saso’s Marquee Experience has announced a partnership with MaXhosa Africa ahead of the 2026 edition of the Hollywoodbets Durban July 2026, positioning African luxury fashion at the centre of one of South Africa’s most visible social and cultural gatherings.
The collaboration will see MaXhosa Africa serve as the marquee’s official Culture and Fashion Partner, while presenting what organisers describe as its first dedicated fashion showcase at the Durban July. The presentation will reportedly introduce bespoke and atelier creations that extend the brand’s offering beyond its established knitwear collections and into custom-made luxury fashion.
Lusaso “Saso” Ngcobo said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to celebrating African excellence through culture, fashion and hospitality. For MaXhosa Africa founder Laduma Ngxokolo, the collaboration provides an opportunity to deepen the brand’s presence in KwaZulu-Natal while showcasing new dimensions of the business, including its bespoke services and broader lifestyle positioning.
Luxury Positioning Beyond Fashion
The partnership is Saso’s Marquee Experience’s ambition to strengthen its premium hospitality credentials. Stella Artois joins as the official hospitality partner, while Moët & Chandon has been announced as the official champagne partner. Entertainment remains central to the experience, with Kabza De Small confirmed as the first headline act. Additional artists are expected to be announced in the coming weeks as organisers build toward race day.
The announcement follows Saso’s Marquee Experience being recognised as Best Marquee at the 2025 Durban July. Rather than simply expanding its entertainment offering, the 2026 edition appears focused on creating a broader cultural platform where luxury fashion, premium brands, music and hospitality intersect.
