A New Cultural Gathering Heads to Pretoria
07 May 2026
South African cultural platform Outside Already has officially announced its flagship national event, set to take place on 8 August 2026 at 012 Central in Pretoria. Positioned as a large-scale convergence of youth culture, music, influence and entrepreneurship, the event is expected to draw attendees from across the country while bringing together voices from the creative, business and media industries.
The first wave of talent announced includes Kojo Annan, Kelvin Momo and Mörda, with additional artists and keynote speakers expected to be revealed in the coming months.
Connecting Cultural Expression With Legacy
Taking place on the eve of National Women’s Day, the event intentionally aligns itself with the historical significance of the Women’s March to the Union Buildings. According to the organisers, the platform aims to create space for men to stand in support of women while amplifying women’s voices and representation within culture and society. The event is also being developed in engagement with the City of Tshwane and the Tshwane Metropolitan Police Department as part of broader efforts to position it as a safe and city-aligned cultural gathering.
Outside Already says the initiative represents more than a standalone event, framing itself instead as a broader cultural movement focused on identity, creativity and collective experience for a new generation. “Outside Already is not just a moment; it is a reflection of where culture is going,” said co-founder and creative lead Jay Carson.
Built From Cultural Community
The platform first introduced its vision through an exclusive private dinner hosted at Marble Restaurant, bringing together figures across culture, leadership and business. Guests included Ndaba Mandela, Olwethu Leshabane, Malume Jade and several emerging cultural tastemakers shaping South Africa’s creative landscape.
Co-founder Silvio Da Silva described the platform as an opportunity to connect influence, opportunity and community at a national scale. Alongside live music and DJ performances, attendees can expect leadership conversations, collaborative networking spaces and content-driven experiences designed for digital amplification.
