Makubenjalo is expanding its presence at the 2026 Hollywoodbets Durban July through a renewed partnership with Martell and OMODA, bringing together luxury hospitality, fashion, music and premium experiences under one marquee. Building on last year’s collaboration, the three brands will once again transform Greyville Racecourse into a destination designed around this year’s Country Allure theme, which blends heritage, craftsmanship and contemporary luxury through a distinctly South African perspective.
Rather than focusing solely on race day, the partners are extending the experience into a multi-week cultural programme. The official countdown begins on 26 June with the Njalo’s Durban July Launch, an invitation-only evening bringing together media personalities, creatives, tastemakers and entertainment figures for a curated dinner, live performances and a preview of the marquee experience that will headline race weekend.

The collaboration reflects a broader trend at the Durban July, where hospitality destinations increasingly compete through immersive lifestyle experiences instead of traditional event sponsorships. Makubenjalo has positioned itself as a curator of premium entertainment experiences, while Martell continues to strengthen its presence within South Africa’s luxury cultural landscape. OMODA adds its focus on modern automotive design, aligning with the fashion-driven identity that has become synonymous with Durban July.
Guests purchasing Njalo’s tailor-made VIP packages can expect premium parking, access to the Greyville VIP precinct, gourmet three-course dining, all-day catering, welcome drinks by GH Mumm and Martell, complimentary bar service until 16:00, luxury seating, live entertainment, private security, exclusive facilities including a cigar bar and charging stations, as well as automatic access to the official afterparty.
Ahead of the main event, Makubenjalo will also host a series of build-up activations, including the Ce La Vi Activationon 19 June and the Mkhize Rooftop Activation in Durban on 21 June, creating additional touchpoints before the country’s biggest horse racing and fashion event.

Makubenjalo has announced the entertainment lineup for Njalos @ the Hollywoodbets Durban July 2026, confirming a roster of some of South Africa’s biggest music names ahead of one of the country’s largest lifestyle events. Presented in partnership with Martell and OMODA, the premium hospitality destination returns to Greyville Racecourse on 4 July with an expanded focus on music, fashion and luxury experiences. The lineup was unveiled during a launch event in Soweto, signalling the start of the final countdown to race day.
Headlining this year’s programme are Kabza De Small, Kwesta, Boom Shaka, DJ Sox, Uncool MC, DJ Bongz, Leehleza, Vetkoek vs Mahoota, DJ Stokie and DJ Amanda. The programme has been designed to carry guests from the opening moments of the event through to the official afterparty, with performances spanning amapiano, house, hip hop and classic South African hits.
