Doja Cat Headlines Move Afrika Tour In Kigali And Pretoria This March
Global Citizen announced today that the Grammy-winning superstar Dja Cat will headline the third edition of Move Afrika, with massive shows confirmed for Kigali, Rwanda (March 17) and Pretoria, South Africa (March 20). Tickets for the Pretoria show go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, 18 February at 9am via Ticketmaster, with pre-sales for Mastercard holders starting as early as Monday, 16 February.
This is a major booking for the touring circuit, which was originally launched in partnership with Kendrick Lamar and pgLang to build a sustainable route for international artists in Africa. For Doja Cat, the tour represents a significant homecoming. “From my South African roots straight to the world stage, we’re bringing energy, purpose, and real change,” Doja Cat said in a statement. “This isn’t just a tour, it’s a movement… showing the world that Africa isn’t coming, it’s already here.”
While the hype will undoubtedly focus on the “Paint The Town Red” star performing at the SunBet Arena, the real story is behind the scenes. Move Afrika is designed to fix a long-standing issue in the African music industry: the lack of local infrastructure.
Instead of flying in foreign crews, which is expensive and cuts locals out of the pay, Move Afrika is committed to hiring locally. The tour aims to have 90% of its crew and production roles filled by local talent in both Rwanda and South Africa. They are also sourcing 95% of their audio and lighting gear from local vendors, ensuring the money spent on the tour stays in the host cities.
The tour creates a platform for activism, too. Building on last year’s campaigns, Global Citizen will use these events to push for stronger healthcare systems across the continent, focusing on better access to primary care and sexual health resources.

Standard Bank and Mastercard Unlock Exclusive Doja Cat Presale Tickets
Standard Bank Mastercard clients will get exclusive priority access to tickets for Doja Cat’s highly anticipated Pretoria concert this March. Under the expanded partnership with Live Nation, World Citizen credit cardholders secure early presale access on February 16, 2026, followed by preferred access for all other Standard Bank Mastercard clients on February 18. The initiative aims to deliver “priceless experiences” and added value to cardholders for major events throughout the year.
